Philosophy of Education
My beliefs in education are simple. I believe that: (1) learning is an active and ongoing partnership among children, parents, teachers, and the community; (2) diversity of all kinds is valued, respected, and celebrated; (3) learning is an active process with teaching geared to the individual strengths of each child; (4) children have the ability to achieve academic excellence and become life-long learners; and, (5) students need opportunities to become caring, productive citizens of good character who make a difference in the lives of others.
